MEGU FUSION U7 BOYS FINALIST IN SPACE COAST 3V3 CHALLENGE

CONGRATULATIONS to our U7 boys for making it to the championship game in the Space Coast 3v3 challenge. After posting a 4-1-0 record during the group and qualifying stages, our little Fusion players faced in the final game the current Disney National champions, "CHIVAS". The match was a well-fought and competed one, where momentum changed throughout the game. CHIVAS prevailed at the end with a score of 8-6. In a well balanced effort, all of our little warriors scored multiple times throughout the tourney. As a result of their great effort, and 2nd place, the team was rewarded with an invitation to play in the Nationals at Disney in Summer 2010!!! Great Job coach Ostrander and MEGU Fusion U7 players: Brent, Nicolas, Zach, Andres and Mekhi.

U12 Boys - Champions without a Crown!

Coach Andrew Burgess and his U12 Boys team "Blue Storm" made it to the championship game at the tournament finals in Vero Beach the weekend of May 30th and took 2nd place. The team previously placed 2nd in the tournament group play two weeks before, with a record of 2-1-0, enough for participating in the Final Four.

On the semifinal game, our boys played a tough Palm Bay squad, and after a very competitive 1st half that saw both teams tied 1-1, the Blue Storm dominated the 2nd half and secured a place in the championship game with a score of 6-2.

The championship game was a rematch with "Lords of Rock" from Indialantic Soccer. The first game during group play was a very competitive one with the Lords of Rock coming on top 4-3. recAchiev3.jpg The championship game was no different with both teams disputing every ball. Our "Blue Storm" players came from behind to tie the game 3-3. After the teams were not able to break the tie, tournament officials decided to award 1st place via a Coin Toss!!! Unfortunately, the coin flipped the other way and our little warriors had to settle for 2nd place. Regardless of this, they are our Champions without a Crown!!!

Great Job Coach Burgess and Blue Storm Boys!!!
